David Shepherd over many years have printed wildlife pictures and the through that also shares the stories and his experiences with people across the world. He also frequently speaks at various prestigious social events and charity dinners. David Shepherd is most approachable and he enjoys sharing his happiness about paintings with other, he has a great personality and he is always concerned about the diminishing wildlife.
David Shepherd has lost his interest on school activities when he want thrown in to the art world which happened by chance for him. David Shepherd is frequently quoted as saying that, in his life up to late teens he was not very successful and his ambition was to be a game warden in Africa. So after finishing his school days, he left England to start a new career in the National Game parks of Africa. Unfortunately he was not required, and did not begin his career as a game warden, his dream since childhood was in ruins. David Shepherd had more interest in art during his childhood and it had been an alternative to the games which were compulsory, for example rugby which created more fear in him than enjoyment. David Shepherd took refugee from school, because he was more feared about the game rugby and injury caused by it. People talk about David Shepherd paintings that features birds even today. David Shepherd was very disappointed in not able to become a game warden, eventually he managed to find a job in one of the local Kenyan hotels for one pound per week, working in the reception.
David Shepherd painted some pictures of birds which he luckily managed to sell whilst in Kenya, a total of seven paintings for up to ten pounds each. This money that he got out of selling paintings helped him to take ticket and come back to England. After returning home, David Shepherd decided he had two choices of either becoming an artist or a bus driver. David Shepherd decided to become bus driver after he is back home which he found it to be safe. He made this decision on the basis that most artists had very little prospects and even less money. But his father later helped him and gave him the suggestion that he needs some training if he wants to become an artist. David Shepherd's life changed when he met Robin Goodwin who is an artist.
